Susan Wood, CEO
Dr. Wood has 25+ years of experience championing innovative clinical solutions to the marketplace, from concept to revenue. Dr. Wood received her Ph.D. from the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions, School of Hygiene and Public Health. Her Ph.D. work combined quantifying three-dimensional lung structure with changes in lung function using high-resolution CT imaging. She also holds a Master of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University, and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park.
Sandra Stapleton, COO
Ms. Stapleton has over 20 years’ experience in building and managing operational and engineering functions, as well as developing leading-edge products in the healthcare field. She received her MSc. in Medical Biophysics from the University of Toronto.
Todd Johnson, CTO
Mr. Johnson has over 25 years of experience in the clinical imaging and healthcare IT industries. He received degrees in Biomedical & Electrical Engineering from the University of Iowa, and earned his MBA from the University of Minnesota.

Mr. Reif has over 25 years’ experience in pharmaceutical clinical and business development. Joe holds an MBA from the University of Notre Dame and a Bachelor of Science from Saint John’s University.

Mr. Nienhuis has over 15 years’ experience in marketing, product management, strategy, business development and market research. Marcel holds an MBA from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor of Science in Commerce, Marketing from Santa Clara University.

Ms. Cranston has a broad-based 25+ year medical industry background across a wide range of product and market areas. Her educational background includes an MBA from Pepperdine University.
John Newell, Medical Director
Dr. John Newell Jr, MD, is a professor of Radiology and Biomedical Engineering, Director of the Radiology Image Phenotyping Laboratory, and co-Director of the Iowa Institute for Biomedical Imaging. He has over 30 years of experience in clinical research and clinical practice in the Radiology sub-specialty of Cardio-Thoracic Radiology. John’s book, Developing the Digital Lung, chronicles major advances in quantitative lung imaging.
